Songkhla province offered technology and innovation training to local businesses on Saturday to prepare them to take part in THAIFEX-World of Food Asia 2019.
Deputy Songkhla governor Sakra Kapinlakarn opened the training session at Buri Sriphu Boutique Hotel in Hat Yai district of Songkhla. As part of the province’s policy to develop local businesses, the training helps improve the technological skills of SME operators and agriculture related businesses. The training yesterday was provided by the Center for the Development of Innovative Administration of Prince of Songkla University.
Fifty-four individuals attended Saturday’s session, but only 20 will now be offered another training program for product packaging, after which only five will be selected to join this year’s THAIFEX-World of Food Asia to be held at Muangthong Thani in Bangkok from May 28 to June 1, 2019.
Thaifex-World of Food Asia is a platform for food and beverage businesses to showcase their products to the international community. Representatives of countries such as Argentina, Belgium, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and Vietnam will also be taking part in the event.
