Chainat Car Free Day 2015 to be held this weekend, 19-20 Sep

Chainat Province, in cooperation with the Tourism Business Association, will hold CHAINAT CAR FREE DAY 2015 this weekend, ahead of the World Car Free Day, observed on 22 September of every year.
Governor of Chainat Suttipong Juljaroen said that the province preferred to arrange the campaign during 19-20 September, which are holidays in order to attract more public participation.
The campaign will encourage the public to join in a cycling competition and reforestation activities to raise their awareness about global warming. The governor also hoped the campaign would inspire the public to reduce energy and increase the use of renewable energy.
The cycling competition will be divided into two categories – 70 km and 25 km, which will be arranged separately for men, women, youth and VIPs.
Besides, non-engined tricycle drifters will have a space to showoff their skills. There will also be exhibitions featuring stories of environmental-friendly energy.
