Where is the best place for shopping in Sukhumvit area? Which BTS station should I exit?

Hi, I'm currently in Bangkok and I need help on the following questions:

1. Where is the best place for shopping in Sukhumvit area? Which BTS station should I exit?

2. What is the best time to visit the Grand Palace? In the morning or afternoon? Do I need any guide or can I do it myself?

Any feedbacks appreciated.

Take BTS and head to "NATIONAL STADIUM", Start shopping at the famous MBK Center. You need to change trains at "SIAM".

If you shop out MBK, you can continue through Siam Discovery, Siam Center and Siam Paragon.

If you still need more shopping, cross the road and hit Siam Square!

2) - Although you will be hounded by many "guides" outside the temple, you can easily wander the grounds by yourself. Ignore all the friendly strangers telling you that the temple is closed.

Morning would probably be better because it might be cooler.
