Thai media owner questioned over alleged monarchy insult
The leader of an anti-government street campaign, prominent media owner Sondhi Limthongkul, has been questioned by police over allegations of insulting the monarchy.
He surrendered to the authorities after leading march of 1,500 protesters to police headquarters in Bangkok. Mr Sondhi has denied any wrong doing, and his lawyers say the charges are politically motivated. He was released on bail after more than two hours interrogation. Police say it will take some time to collect evidence in the case, and want to question Mr Sondhi again next month.
