All candidates now registered for polls

The registration of constituency MP candidates ended on a quiet note yesterday with the focus shifting to the candidates of small parties. Most of the major political parties registered their candidates during the first two days of the registration which began on Nov 12.

Leena Jungjanja, a colourful female politician who was disappointed when the Matchimathipataya party did not field her as its candidate in Bangkok, yesterday managed to register her candidacy with the Palang Pandin Thai party in Bangkok's constituency 4.

Ms Leena shrugged off her image as an eccentric, saying people were just jealous of her.

Palang Paendin Thai is under the leadership of Likhit Dhiravegin, a political scientist and former member of Thai Rak Thai.
